Eat, Love & Pray is such a great book!!!

I am reading this book for the 2nd time, well, actually, I don't really have time to read, so i download books from itunes, that way I can walk on the beach in the mornings and listen to books to make the time pass. Anyway, I am enjoying it so much, if you have not read it yet, please do. Elizabeth Gilbert is such an awsome writer. She really puts life as a thirty or forty something woman in perspective. I almost feel like I am living the adveture of traveling to Italy, India and Indonisia through her. I have a dream of traveling, and someday I will. It will be on my next trasure map for sure. Speaking of India- this is a yoga site, so a few words about my own personal yoga practice. I find that when I am not doing Yoga I have to remind myself to breathe!!! Of course I breathe to live, but to REALLY Breathe feels so good. I am often reminding my classes to breathe during class, and throughout our practice, and, so I will be my own teacher today and repeat my own mantra
"breathe girl...breathe!!!"
Until next time.....
Just Breathe.

Heather's Kripalu Yoga Class Descriptions

I teach Kripalu Yoga: A free flowing form of yoga postures that is as much of a meditation as it is a series of yoga movements and asanas. This style of yoga supports relaxation, peace, and healing. Each of my yoga classes last approximately 70 minutes.

Tuesday & Wednesdays at 10:00 AM – Kripalu Yoga
This is my most common class which is also scheduled on Wednesday & Saturday Mornings at 10AM. This class can be gentle enough for beginners, and at times challenging enough for someone who enjoys a gentle yoga practice. I gauge all classes according to who shows. I learned years ago the importance of being mindful of new yoga students. There are always the modifications of the postures for those who need it. My wish is for each student to listen closely to their body and never go past the “edge”.

Thursday 6 PM – Introduction to Kripalu Yoga

This is a great class for brand new students OR for those returning to yoga after an extended period of time OR for students who a recovering from an injury or illness that would like to find modifications for the basic yoga postures. This is usually an 8 week series that is on going. We take time to practice Sun-Salutations and basic postures in between each series. Students can join in at any time .

Friday 10 AM – YogAromatherapy
This I am proud to say in my own creation. I recently took a certification for Aromatherapy. I offer Aromatherapy Consultations along with Aromatherapy Massage…as you can tell I love the scents of essential oils and the benefits they offer us for healing. The class is one of my most gentle Yoga classes with a focus on the 7 chakras, which are energy centers located along the spine in our body. This class has a great energy, very calm, meditative and fun too!

Saturdays at 10:00 am
I teach a Multi Level Kripalu Yoga Class every other week, on the off weeks there is either Marci or Laura. Both teachers are great!
Feel free to visit my website or call with questions or concerns.
Class Fee is $10 each or 10 classes for $80 Heather Hixon, LMT, CYT (904) 521-4845 Located at the Renaissance Healing Center, 228 3rd Ave. N., Jacksonville Beach

Gratitude

Each time I guide a Yoga Class we take a moment to be grateful...for having a body to work with, for the ability to breathe, to move freely & for the opportunity to practice Yoga. To me, each day that I get to come to Renaissance and teach classes, to visit with you, my clients, students, my friends, I am grateful. This is a gift.
I thank you for supporting us.

I have been visualizing my perfect, ideal clients and students for years, in my mind, someone once told me to do this...It works!...It really does!
